A great number worked unoeasingly without relief or rest, exposed to consistent air attacks, and periodical bombardments from artillery, for up to 7 days. The work of these Officers and men was of the greatest value, and contributed largely to the success of the operation. TYNWALD (Continued). OFFICER. Second Officer Allan Watterson. Promoted to Chief Officer after the third trip. This officer displayed great initiative and was of great assistance to the new Captain, assisting with the navigation, embarkation and berthing. D&C Recommended for decoration. RATING. Seaman Thomas Gimmin. Gribbun This rating remained in the ship throughout all the voyages and was of the greatest assistance to Mr. Watterson. Displayed great initiative in the mooring of the ship in Dunkirk at all times, especially as there was no shore assistance available when in the port.
